Developed through a collaboration between Not a vessel and Alexandra Fullana Event Planner, the first edition of Costa Blanca Wellness Festival emerged from a broader research and editorial inquiry around wellness, culture, and collective well-being.
Rather than approaching wellness as a set of products, practices, or outcomes, the project proposed a cultural approach to health — exploring how habits, beliefs, environments, work, relationships, and systems of meaning shape our physical, mental, and emotional experience.
This conceptual framework informed the festival’s manifesto, narrative direction, editorial positioning, visual identity, and overall curatorial approach.

Through conversations, panels, workshops, and interdisciplinary collaborations, the festival sought to contribute to the development of a more rigorous and culturally mature understanding of wellness in Spain — one capable of holding complexity, historical context, and critical thinking.
Bringing together voices from health, architecture, psychology, movement, and entrepreneurship, the festival approached wellbeing as a question that extends far beyond individual optimization.

Beyond its editorial and curatorial dimension, the festival aimed to contribute to the development of a more connected and culturally mature wellness ecosystem in Spain.
Not a vessel led the project’s conceptual and editorial development — from the founding manifesto and cultural framework to the narrative direction, visual identity, and curatorial research. This included the operational and commercial dimensions of the first edition: partner and sponsor development, vendor relationships, and the business model that made the event viable.
The project later continued independently.
This experience became foundational in the evolution of later editorial initiatives developed through Not a vessel, including Como la flor.
