Como la flor

Wellness for the misfits.

An editorial laboratory exploring wellness, culture, and collective well-being.

Emerging from the research developed through the Costa Blanca Wellness Festival, Como la flor examines wellness not as a lifestyle trend, but as a cultural response to broader social, emotional, and existential conditions.

The project explores how contemporary experiences of stress, anxiety, disconnection, and lack of meaning relate not only to individual habits, but also to the cultural frameworks through which we understand health, success, productivity, work, and identity.

Rather than offering prescriptions or formulas for self-optimization, Como la flor seeks to develop a more nuanced and critical conversation around well-being — one capable of addressing both personal experience and the wider systems shaping contemporary life.

Editorial approach

Through essays, interviews, and cultural analysis, the project investigates the narratives, structures, and assumptions influencing how we think about wellness today.

Topics include:

  • mental health and contemporary culture
  • the relationship between individual and collective well-being
  • work, burnout, and meaning
  • financial culture and wealthness
  • identity, perception, and consciousness
  • the social and cultural conditions shaping human flourishing

The project moves across disciplines and perspectives, bringing together voices from entrepreneurship, psychology, movement, finance, and philosophy.

Recent conversations include Ramiro Iglesias on financial culture and long-term thinking, alongside interviews and reflections connected to wellness, and contemporary life.

Publishing

Como la flor is published primarily through Substack, where ongoing editorial research, long-form essays, interviews, and reflections are released on a regular basis.

Some articles are freely accessible, while others are available to subscribers supporting the long-term development of the project.

An ongoing inquiry

Como la flor is not conceived as a fixed answer, but as an ongoing inquiry into what well-being means within contemporary culture.

The project remains open to new conversations, collaborations, and ways of thinking capable of moving beyond reductionism, polarization, and simplistic solutions.
